First up tonight I was joined by Danny & Jared from Southend electro-rockers Parrilla. Hot on the heels of their debut single Surrounded, the foursome are currently recording their debut EP for release later in the year. They can next be seen live at Hideaways in Chelmsford on April 19th with more local dates coming in May – stay tuned to their Facebook and Bandcamp pages for more!
Next up I was joined by four-fifths of London/Essex/Kent indie rockers The Theme (l-r me pictured above with Ben, Chris, Peter & Bill). Originally formed by lead songwriter Paul in 2011, they’ve had a prolific year of gigging so far, and are releasing Distance, a follow-up to their recent single Hold Me, later this month – and gave us a live performance of it tonight as part of an excellent session. They can next be seen live at Brixton’s The Hand In Hand on April 27th, with plenty more to come – check their Facebook and Twitter pages for more!
