Artist Feature: DJ Sunny Mega

We’re currently giving lots of airtime to DJ Sunny Mega’s track “You Are” here on Phoenix FM … and we caught up with him to find out all about the man and his music.

How did you get started in music?

I’ve been making music since 2010. I found it challenging to release my debut single “Remix Diamond In The Sky” but I found a French company to help me and their results have been excellent.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

Pitbull and Taylor Swift.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

Music gives us all energy – it’s something to listen to when we are tired or upset and it’s good to hear something unique. My music is a very unique style which anyone can listen to, young or old. I always try to vary my music as the same thing again and again can be boring, so my music has many different styles.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

I’ve just released the single Damru – it’s dubstep/trap instrumental. I’ve also released electronic music and I like all genres – mostly pop, dance and electronic.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment – and do they influence your work?

Adele, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. They do influence me as you can hear on tracks like Swan Song.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Taylor Swift.

What are your plans for the future?

I would love to have my own studio and help people who are starting out and don’t know how to progress their musical careers.
