Sports Show Round Up 23 Mar 2019

Saturday’s show was full of action. Results for the local sides were a mix of good and the not so good, which was a shame. Coming to the end of the season it was hoped both Brentwood and Billericay could get back to winning ways. But it was not meant to be. Goals don’t seem to be a problem for Bowers and Pitsea who managed to slot 9 past an unfortunate Barking side.

News was also called in from an exciting game for Orient. We heard of a closely fought 2nd leg match against Telford which ensured a final day appearance at Wembley for the O’s. Fingers crossed winning ways continue and cup success beckons.

Personally speaking, as some will know I have only taken up the hot seat for the show fairly recently. While other presenters at Phoenix celebrate their own personal milestones in terms of the shows they have present (well done Gareth!) I look forward to my 4th show on Saturday. More great music is planned, aimed to provide the perfect backdrop to Saturday’s results as they come in. Post-It notes have been resupplied (other sticky note reminder pads are available!). And a round up of all the major sporting events from the previous week is to be provided.
