Could this be the definition of a bad day?

On today’s music packed edition of the show we reported on why a jet aircraft had to turn back because a passenger had left an item in the departure lounge and how a man escaped from the clutches of the police, not once, but twice in a single day.

Now that’s just careless!

And this must surely be the height of carelessness.

Saudi flight SV832 from Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur was forced to request permission to return to King Abdul Aziz International Airport after a mother realised that she had left her baby in the departure lounge.

It’s unclear whether the plane had already taken off or was taxiing towards the runway when the woman realised her mistake.

And this isn’t the first time that parents have been found wanting as last year a couple had left their daughter at an airport in Stuttgart on their way back from a holiday.

Officers spotted the five-year-old wandering alone around the terminal last October.

Each parent had apparently driven off separately believing the child was in the other’s car!

Meanwhile over in Missouri prisoner, Travis Lee Davis, who had already been convicted on various charges including kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child, domestic assault, resisting arrest and parole violation, walked right out of the front door of Pettis County Jail, after initially climbing up into the rafters, crawling through a maintenance access hole in the concrete wall, into a maintenance access closet, and then absconded on foot.

Whilst on the loose he kidnapped a woman who later reported the incident allowing police to successfully track him down to a car park in Oklahoma – some 350 miles from the prison from which he had escaped.

No doubt metaphorically patting themselves on the back for their good work, whilst the officers were interviewing the victim of the kidnapping incident, Davis slipped round behind them and got into the driver’s seat of their police car and took off at high speed, before crashing into a tree, after which it is believed that he escaped by way of a freight train.

Sporting a number of tattoos including one on his neck, of an eye inside a triangle, his distinguishing marks ought to make him easy enough to spot, but as of now it appears that he may still be on the run.

Well there you go!

I’ll see you again tomorrow,
Scott
