I was joined again today by PHOENIX FM’s very own legal guru, BRIAN HUGHES, who in reality is the consultant solicitor from Shenfield based solicitors, RAINER HUGHES.

When he was with us last month Brian discussed the horrors involved in personal bankruptcy and today he chose to look at the related issue of company liquidation.

In the second hour we heard about the somewhat unorthodox steps taken by a woman to have a car removed from blocking her garage entrance – she told police that her husband had been murdered!

Well that certainly got the police there in double quick time but she can now expect a hefty bill and a criminal investigation for misusing the emergency number, and since once the offending vehicle had been removed, in a somewhat inebriated state, she attempted to get into her car before officers took away her keys, possibly a drink driving offence for good measure. 

And the day had started so well!
