Billericay Youth Town Council – Billericay’s Got Talent!

Over 100 guests watched some of the cream of Billiercay’s young talent perform at an evening showcase event on January 25th 2019.

Singers, musicians and dance groups showed off their impressive skills during a two hour performance and the 10 acts included singers Rosie Lug and Ella Botton and the Live Love Dance group

The event took place at the Canon Roache centre Laindon Road, Billericay and was hosted by Youth Town Councillor Joe Short who ensured every act got a rousing round of applause, and it certainly was a night to remember!

A raffle with prizes which included an Afternoon Tea for Two donated by Greenwoods Hotel & Spa, VIP tickets to a match day at Billericay Town Football Club, lunch for two at The Chequers pub and Bespoke Beauty vouchers helped boost funds for the Billericay Town Council’s current project to renovate the skate part in Lake Meadows park, Billericay.

This popular attraction has sadly seen some vandalisation over the past 12 months and plans to redesign it and make it a safe place for children and teenagers to practice skate boarding is under way.

The raffle raised over £225 and the evening was a real success for this enterprising Youth Councillors and special thanks go to roadie Graham Lowrie from Ace Bathrooms with his help with lighting and sound on the night.
