Anyone fancy a bite to eat?

On today’s show we first heard about the short-term offer by fast food outlet BURGER KING, to provide a special offer for man’s best friend – his dog!

The new range of dog friendly treats are known as Dogppers – or ‘flame-grilled, Whopper-flavoured dog biscuits’.

Owners in the US, who purchase their own Whopper through the delivery service, DoorDash will receive a free treat for their pooch.

Dogppers are made of ‘oat flour, brown rice flour, beef, cheddar cheese, eggs and sesame seeds’ – and are not fit for human consumption.

Sadly, the treats are only available in the US and for a limited time only.

In the second hour of today’s show came news of the guy, perhaps jealous of the offering for dogs, who took it upon himself to break into an abandoned Chinese restaurant.

Curiously for some unknown reason he chose to break into the establishment via a grease vent – and became stuck!

Sheriff’s officers and the Alameda County Fire Department were called to the disused Chinese restaurant in San Lorenzo, around 25 miles east of San Francisco, following reports of a “faint voice calling for help,”

Realising the sound was coming from a roof vent on top of the restaurant, they used a ladder and found the man covered in grease and oil completely wedged in a sheet metal grease duct running from the roof to the kitchen.

His rescue, which took fire fighters nearly an hour to achieve, resulted in $10,000 worth of damage to the ventilation system.

Quite why the 29-year old unnamed man was in the vent is unclear – after all why would you want to break into an abandoned restaurant, and if you did, there must surely be easier ways to break in ?

See you once more tomorrow!
