The presenters here at Phoenix FM tend to get sent a lot of music from local artists, and it’s a great way to get your music heard and your name out there.
Around Christmas time we tend to receive a few Christmas songs so I wasn’t surprised to receive a track called Utterly Brilliant Christmas by someone called Ebenezer Sledge. The song even contains a whispered message at the start wishing me and Phoenix FM a Happy Christmas.

What did surprise me is that despite hours trawling the internet I’ve been unable to find any trace of Ebenezer Sledge, especially as Utterly Brilliant Christmas is an Utterly Brilliant Christmas Party song!
It reminds me of the 1970s, the decade that produced many of the iconic Christmas Songs we still play today.
