It’s cough and cold season again, but the key is to manage your germs and not spread them to everyone.

It doesn’t matter how much vitamin C you take, chances are you’ll be spluttering away by the time you go back to work.

If you’d rather not alienate others, a day in bed is the best answer.

However, one in 4 women get annoyed with partners constant coughing, whereas men tend to be more understanding. Even doing the housework when needed.

Commuting is very problematic with others spreading their germs in close proximity.

Typically British, we soldier on despite the germs, but maybe we need to think twice.

Try not to cough or sneeze over others. If you cough into a tissue rather than your hand it is more hygenic. Or some children are now being taught to cough into the crook of their elbow.

If you think about it, this is more sensible; think how many times you may shake hands with someone who has just coughed into it, this piece of advice makes good sense.

If you are faced with someone who is coughing over their computer keyboard, just offer small acts of kindness rather than getting angry with them. They don’t want to be coughing after all, and that will only make you more stressful.

As long as you’re coughing, you are infectious, so try not to accept invitations and stay indoors, keep warm and comfortable. Just think, would you like to be with someone who is coughing uncontrollably? If the answer is no, then make sure you don’t become that person!
