Step into your very own Santa suit this Christmas to run 5k and raise funds for patients and families affected by life-limiting illness.
Saint Francis Hospice’s annual Santathon is back on Sunday, December 9 at Dagenham and Redbridge Football ground and it is inviting everyone to come along and be part of this exciting event!
This year there will be festive fun with all the trimmings as the charity introduces the ‘Chase the Turkey’ challenge.
The first Santa to catch the person in the turkey suit will win a turkey from a local butcher.
The charity’s patron, England and West Ham legend Sir Trevor Brooking, will also be there to greet our supporters and send them on their way!
“This is always such a fun event and it really is for everyone,” said Chris Franklin, Events Manager at the hospice.
“Some people love a challenge while many people enjoy chatting as they walk and the route and even bring the dog!
“So, get your friends, families and colleagues together and get the festive season off on the right foot!
“Not only will you feel great, you will receive one of our exclusive medals when you pass the finish line and most importantly of all, you will be helping people at the most vulnerable time in their lives.
“And for an added bonus, you could even have your Christmas dinner sorted!”
It costs just £15 for an adult, £8 for under 16s and £30 for a family (2 adults and 2 children). Santa suits are included in the price!
Check in opens at 9.30am and the fun run starts at 11am.
