New music: Factory Acts – Fused featuring Stephen Newton – MDA – Psihokratija – Vain Machine – Paul Handley – Virtue Mend featuring Erin.

 

After a mixed bag of a weekend Weather and showbiz tattle, it was nice to see the week of entertainment news was all levelheaded, namely not too much fuss about the new Doctor Who on the beeb…..whom, I have to say, I liked and I enjoyed the show direction; so far. However, I was more disturbed or concerned, should I say, by the announcement of a yet another odd, New West-end Musical. Would you ‘adam and eve’ it, they are only putting on Only Fools and Horses, the Musical- I know, cor blimey. So during my little old chatty bit I wondered if any of my listerners this week had a show they loved on TV, that they felt would or could make a good showbiz musical. Clearly I’m no big fan of Musicals, as may well hear, but I won’t ever stop others from their thigh slapping musical fetish. I personally tend to prefer live music events in the shape of gigs like Synthetic City London and the like, to all these ‘jazz hand‘ musicals….

Any road, this show more importantly is about great new music with a synth based bias. So this week we had more eclectic electronic delights, as we heard New tracks from Factory Acts – Fused featuring Stephen Newton – Chvrches – MDA – Psihokratija – Vain Machine – Paul Handley – Virtue Mend featuring Erin. Plus I got carried away with the odd classic artists, that I  dropped into my show tracklist and popcorn on the desk.
