Let the show commence!

Today we heard the sorry tale of the Shropshire based zoo which has been forced to exhibit plastic penguins.

After investing £60,000 in a new penguin enclosure and sending staff on a penguin keeper course so that they could be prepared for the new arrivals it now appears that an outbreak of avian malaria has decimated the penguin population and no one knows if or when, any birds will be available.

Zoo owner Scott Adams said the enclosure was specially designed for penguins so they have no alternative other than to use the 6 plastic imitations so that visiting children can still see and learn about them.

The zoo is still looking for penguins so if anyone has any captive bred penguins please contact Scott Adams at Telford Exotic Zoo as they’d be delighted to look after them and give them a good home!

Being a Tuesday Margaret Mills returned with news of a hurricane which hit Southend – no not the one we all remember back in 1987.

This one was way back in 1842.

Listen again here to what Margaret had to say about this conflagration: –

See you once more on Thursday,
Scott
