Advice for Life

I was joined today by Essex based author, Denis Olasehinde Akinmolasire who has just written his first book – LOVE, WAR and GLORY: SPOKEN WORDS FOR ALL SEASONS – a pretty impressive title which sets out to rationalise events that we all experience in our lives, both good and bad.

There will be an official launch party for the book this coming Saturday evening, the 13th of October at The Britannia Village Hall in Silvertown.

At this event which runs from 6:30 to 9:30 you will be able to listen to excerpts from the book and buy a signed copy and refreshments will also be provided.

There will also be a raffle for a chance to win a free e-Book.

What’s more the event is totally free of charge.

Listen here to what Denis had to say about his book today: –

In the second hour of today’s show we heard about the police officers who managed to give themselves criminal records.

First off came news of the officer who inadvertently created a custody record in his own name, added a charge of rape and sent it off to court.

Unfortunately the charge ended up at a magistrates’ court, and when he failed to put in an appearance, a warrant was issued for his arrest!

Another officer just out of training, created a custody number for a harassment job, completing the forms in her own name rather than the suspect thereby giving herself a criminal record whilst another who forgot to take someone’s fingerprints, took his own and submitted them as the prisoner’s.

That could take some undoing, me thinks!

See you again tomorrow,
Scott
