He’s great in panto … Oh yes he is!

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

We had a super-talented guest last week when we had a visit from singer and actor Ronan Parke.

Ronan was runner-up on Britian’s Got Talent in 2011 when he was only 12 years old and he has also turned his hand to acting, being nominated for Best Newcomer by The Great British Pantomime Awards earlier this year – losing out to the much more experienced Al Murray.

Ronan came in to chat to our regular Sunday afternoon presenter Vicki Michelle – the two of them starred together in pantomime last Christmas alongside Coronation Street’s Charlie Lawson, who has also been a recent telephone guest on Vicki’s show.

We were also joined in the studio by Vicki’s daughter Louise, who is a comedian and impressionist.

Vicki will also be back in pantomime in Castleford this year when she stars in the lead role in Sleeping Beauty.

Our interview with Ronan can be heard again at phoenixfm.com and Vicki is back on air every Sunday at 2pm.

* Lots more guests coming up over the next seven days. Brenda Weaver will be talking to Bob Simpson about the Guide Dogs Coffee Morning on One 2 Three

* Anita McCarthy from Saint Francis Hospice will be talking to Mike Porter about Hospice Care Week and the Hospice’s latest fundraising and events on The Breakfast Show

* There will also be live music in the studio from Steve Hewitt, Darrah and Alaskan Shampoo.
