Premier Division
Buckhurst Hill remain top of the table after a 3-1 win over Hutton. Sonny Shilling notched twice and Nathan Sollosi also got on the Buckhurst Hill score sheet as they made it six wins from six. Hutton replied via Will Marlow. Harold Wood Athletic remain second after a 2-1 win over Rayleigh Town. John Bradley and Joe Stevens scored for the hosts, Jack Long was on hand to provide Rayleigh their consolation. And Kelvedon Hatch’s win over Catholic United ensured that the top three remained as it was at the start of the day after they beat Catholic United 3-1. Mike Daniels, Alan Taylor and Theo Ola provided the goals against the defending Premier Division champions whose defence of the title won so admirably last season continues to falter and they are now in the drop zone after picking up a solitary point from their opening five fixtures. Below them and propping up the table is Manford Way who have made an even worse start. Saturday’s 4-0 reverse at Old Southendian was their sixth defeat on the spin as a hat-trick from Nico Debouchet and a goal from Ruari McIntyre saw Old Southendian move off from the foot of the table and up to twelfth. Ade Cole and Joe McEvoy were the Bishop’s Stortford Swifts scorers in a 2-1 win over Canning Town who replied via Abdul Shobawale. Jay Nash scored twice for Leigh Ramblers as they overcame Sungate; Ronnie Bridges scored their other goal with Reece Simpson scoring for the visitors. Meanwhile Springfield and Great Baddow shared a point each after their game ended in a 3-3 draw. Chris Bryan, Ryan Batchford and Zach Davidson scored the Springfield goals, while John Baxter, Daniel Booty and Nav Arain were the Great Baddow marksmen.
Division One
Snaresbrook took the leadership with some style on Saturday as they handed Herongate Athletic a 6-1 defeat. The goals came from six different players, which suggests they can score throughout their team. This weekend’s scorers were Mitchell Collymore, Harry Price, Ryan Barker-Francis, Drew Barbier, Max Caterhall and Tyriquee Solomon. Basildon Town slip down to second after they were beaten at home by FC Hamlets. Pa Jagne and Jaemar Lawes were the Hamlets scorers in the 2-1 success, cancelling out Alfie Phillips who bagged the Basildon goal. Galleywood ruthlessly put Frenford Res. to the sword as Thomas Watling’s hat-trick was added to by goals from Mathew Buckingham, Luke Osborne, Jack Chatterway and Lewis Rose on route to a 7-1 home win. Ramsden Scotia are up to fifth after a 5-2 home win over Ongar Town. Steve Paoletti scored twice and was abetted by Anthony Driscoll, Ryan Leddra and Lewis Godbold. Ongar Town’s replies were scored by James Stevens and Paul Tiffen. Bailey Moss scored the Rayleigh Town Res. goal in a 1-1 draw with Old Chelmsfordians; while Mitch Day scored the Shenfield AFC goal in their 1-1 draw with May & Baker E.C. Res. who replied via Jamie Williams.
Division Two
The Division Two leadership returned to Shoebury Town on Saturday after they beat Newham United 8-1. Scott Clark and Dom Binns both notched hat-tricks, with Shaun Illett and Dan Regan rounding up the Shoebury scoring. Kaci Henry at least managed to get a consolation to prevent Newham United suffering a complete whitewash. Upminster started the day in second place, but were down in sixth place after they were beaten 4-3 at home by Chingford Athletic. Eric Kelly scored a hat-trick for Chingford, Tayo Olasanoye grabbed the other; the win moved Chingford Athletic up to second. Jamie Lakey, Warren Taylor and Daniel Peermamode were the Upminster scorers and it proved to be a bad day at the office for all the top three at the start of play as Harold Wood Athletic Res. were knocked off the top after suffering a 3-0 reverse at Runwell Sports. Charlie Adams (2) and Declan Clarke were the target men on an afternoon when the top three at the start of play all lost Down at the bottom and May & Baker E.C. ‘A’ lost to remain rooted to the foot of the table. Beacon Hill Rovers rifled seven past May & Baker with Tyson Browning scoring a hat-trick; Charlie Brewer a brace, with Will Simpson and Rene Bearman also scoring a goal each in the 7-2 away win. Ryan meanwhile remain in the drop zone but at least posted their first win of the season after a 3-0 home success over Rochford Town. Toby meanwhile are now third after John Turner, Justin Clarke, Ross Dipple, Dan Cunningham, Peter Spicer and Nick Harvey scored a goal apiece in the 6-2 win over Lakeside.
Division Three
Jean Gomes, Danny Dobson and Anthony DaSilva each provided a goal for Westhamians who beat Leigh Town 3-1 and so remain top of Division Three. Academy Soccer are third after beating bottom-placed Basildon Town Res. 4-0. Louis Mansell scored twice, with Luke Jones and Alex Mansell also getting on the score sheet. Old Chelmsfordians Res. picked up their first win of the season as Tyrese Fairmainer and Owen Linford both hit the target in a 2-1 win over Wakering Sports; the visitors replied via a Lee Price goal.
