HEALTHWATCH ESSEX – IT STARTS WITH YOU!

Michelle Ward was joined by Rachel Horton-Smyth, Communications Lead and Kat Morrison, Communication Insight Officer from Healthwatch Essex to talk about a brand new campaign IT STARTS WITH YOU coming to The Brentwood Centre and also details of a celebration event at Chelmsford Cathedral.

INTERVIEW

IT STARTS WITH YOU

Healthwatch Essex Patient Bed Roadshow – Brentwood
17 October @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Do health and social care services know what you really think?

We want to hear from as many people as possible about what works, what doesn’t and what people want from care in the future.

No matter how big or small the issue, we want to hear about it. If it matters to you, it’s very likely that it matters to somebody else.

Sharing your experience with us is quick and easy and could make a big difference. Tell us what you think today and help make care better.

From 15 – 19 October, we’ll be on the road, taking a ‘patient bed’ around in the county to capture your experiences and understanding of health and social care and explain how your feedback can help shape local services.

Come and have a chat with us at one of our events and tell us about your experiences of services in your area.

Wednesday 17 October, 1pm-3pm

Brentwood Leisure Trust
Brentwood Leisure Centre
Doddinghurst Road
Brentwood, CM15 9NN

Healthwatch Essex, in collaboration with Chelmsford Cathedral, would like to invite staff and patients from across Essex to celebrate 70 years of the NHS.

Join us for an afternoon celebrating health and social care across the county. You’ll hear amazing stories from patients and clinicians as well as readings and reflections. All faiths are welcome and staff are encouraged to wear uniforms to the service with pride.

CHELMSFORD CATHEDRAL

The celebration includes:

Welcome from Healthwatch Essex and Chelmsford Cathedral
Readings & Reflection
Musical Interlude
Films of people’s memories of and aspirations for the NHS
Blessing
Refreshments
Music will be provided by Nichola Scholey and the Chelmsford Cathedral Musicians.

An unsupervised play area will be available and we’d love as many health and social care professionals, patients and patients’ families as possible to come along!

The Cathedral service will kick start a week of events to mark the NHS 70th birthday. The week will see Healthwatch Essex visit various health and social care locations across the county, giving both the public and staff the chance to share with them their personal experiences of health and social care.
