Billericay Rugby Football Club are a terrific local club who do some great work in the community here and beyond.
I received an email today from club President Joseph Clarke about their presentation this Sunday of 100 playing shirts in support of The Atlas Foundation’s work, in partnership with the Federation of Lesotho Rugby and Dolen Cymru, to establish an All Schools Rugby Programme in the region.
Joseph said “I’m very pleased to announce that on Sunday Sept 30th Billericay Rugby Football Club will be hosting Richard Austin – former Essex RFU President and an ambassador of The Atlas Foundation along with Dan Aylward President of Lesotho Rugby.
Rugby is truly an inspiring sport that brings people and communities together. We at BRFC are fortunate to be in a position where we have collected over 100 playing shirts in support of The Atlas Foundation’s work, in partnership with the Federation of Lesotho Rugby and Dolen Cymru, to establish an All Schools Rugby Programme in the region. Effectively 3 schools will benefit from our donation of shirts and we hope that it, in some small way, will make a difference through Rugby.”
