NEWS THIS WEEK – 1982
The Who begin their only formally announced “farewell” tour in Washington, D.C with the Clash as support, it ended in Toronto in December. In July 1985, the Who performed at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium and have occasionally re-formed for live appearances, touring again in 1999. Roger Daltrey & Pete Townshend continued as the Who after John Entwistle’s death in 2002, releasing Endless Wire in 2006.
