Friday Night Extra 7.9. 18 with Freddie & Sarah Fortune and Rev Dan Pierce

Sarah and Freddie talked about Ride & Stride and how they will be charity cycle riding. Dan talked about his role a Beaulieu Park. Sarah and Freddie are raising money for St. Mary the Virgin Parish church, Fryerning, where money is needed to restore a stained glass window. All money raised by cyclist through Essex is shared between their home church and Friends of Essex churches, who make grants to churches to help with projects. It was the first time they had taken part and are really looking forward to the event. Freddie said he had raised money from his classmates.

Dan has been the Pioneer minister in Beaulieu Park and the Chatters in Chelmsford since March this year. He said that only around 20% of the development has yet been built. His role is to be Christian presence, where people see the church as people and not a place, being a people who daily grow in prayer, learning together, friendship and action. Some of his time is spent prayer walking and can he be regularly seen around the area. You can find him on Twitter and more info about St. Francis Community Church on the web.
