On today’s show, I welcomed Gina, CJ, Victoria and Alex who are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Maddi Foundation.
The challenge, on September 22nd, will see the team scale Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis – a total ascent of over 3000m (10,000ft) but with an overall walking distance of over 20 miles – all in under 24 hours!
Alex’s sister, Maddi, suffers from the rare Spastic Paraplegia Type 15 (known as SPG15) which typically shows itself during childhood and can affect mobility as well as neurological functions but varies between individual cases.
