Celebrating Aretha and Madonna

This week was a momentous week in music. On Thursday, the Queen of pop, Madonna, turned 60, so it felt like a good time to look back over her 35 career in music.

Then on the same day we sadly lost the Queen of soul – Aretha Franklin – one of the most unforgettable singing talents around.

In celebration of these two amazing women I played your (and my) favourite Madonna and Aretha songs.

Plus – as the BBC have started announcing the line-up to this year’s Strictly Come Dancing I threw in my two pennies worth on the ones to watch… and I also gave you the entertainment news, as always!

What more could you ask for?!
