Anyone can nominate a side they feel have displayed consistent high levels of conduct and competed in the true spirit of the game. The County FA are looking for evidence of outstanding sportsmanship and fair play in as much detail as possible. The categories are:

o   Boys (Competitive)

o   Boys (Non-Competitive)

o   Girls (Competitive)

o   Girls (Non-Competitive)

o   Open-Age Men/Veterans

o   Open-Age Women

o   Open-Age Disability

Essex County FA Welfare Officer, Helen Hever, explained: “The Fair Play Awards, and good sportsmanship as a whole, are crucial in grassroots football. Attracting and sustaining participation are key goals of ours, as well as recognising the contributions made in the local game which aren’t all about winning leagues and cups. We look forward to receiving plenty of nominations!”

The deadline for nominations is 5:00pm on Thursday 31st May. Make your nomination via the form at www.essexfa.com.
