“The ExtraJordanary Show” Omnibus (Episodes 39-44)!

Owing to another busy summer, you’ll forgive The ExtraJordanary Show for this bulk upload. Episodes 39 to 44 feature some of the most memorable banter in the show’s young history as well as top natter with comedians Sallyann Fellowes, Paul Ennis and Roddy Shaw as well as a visit for The Little Theatre Company.

Episode 39: Names

[mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/Talldarkfriend/the-extrajordanary-show-episode-39-lyla-lola-layla-and-nominative-determinism/ width=100% height=120 hide_cover=1]

Is this the greatest episode of the show so far? Probably not. But it was certainly the most inflammatory. Cracking like a mini-egg under the pressures of “East-pril Fool’s Day”, Jordan goes in hard on Transgender stripper names, Islamophobic introductions, killing with kindness, comic book movies, Ricky Gervais’ “Humanity”, Greater Anglia rail service and who is “Lola”???

Episode 40: Sallyann Fellowes & Paul Ennis

[mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/Talldarkfriend/the-extrajordanary-show-episode-40-sallyann-fellowes-paul-ennis/ width=100% height=120 hide_cover=1]

After a few weeks of solo broadcasting, Jordan welcomes fellow comics Sallyann Fellowes and Paul Ennis to the Phoenix FM studio for a right ruddy natter. The trio dissect the virtues, merits and limitations of “edgy comedy”. Sallyann questions the nature of the “roadside shoe” and Liam Gallagher’s “peanut head”. Paul confesses to a “Birthday bump” assault.

Why are folk singers so hairy?
Which football team does God support?
Is Paul’s cat haunting his family?
Who the f*ck is Kasabian?

Episode 41: Roddy Shaw

[mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/Talldarkfriend/the-extrajordanary-show-episode-41-roddy-shaw/ width=100% height=120 hide_cover=1]

Standing in for the scheduled guest (may his ankle rest in peace) comedian and conservationist Roddy Shaw lights up the Phoenix FM studio with tales of zombie gap years, and the majestic narwhal (all the majesty of a unicorn and a dolphin). Jordan and Roddy bond over the equally majestic Vaporean (look it up) as well as a shared enthusiasm for the Animorphs children’s book and a powerful disdain for the Toffee dating app.

“I think I can comfortably say, if I fell over, I could kill… SEVERAL mice.”
