Prokit UK Essex Olympian League – Saturday 14th April Preview

Prokit UK Essex Olympian League

Leigh Ramblers and Kelvedon Hatch both came through Senior League Cup encounters last weekend – they now face off in the remaining Semi Final with Frenford awaiting the winners. The league games between these two produced a win for each side so it will be down to who wants it more on the day.

The top two are both in action as Frenford take the trip to White Ensign, while Springfield travel to Canning Town. Frenford lead the table by six points and it’s hard to see them not keeping that intact come Saturday evening. Springfield need to pick up a win themselves at Canning Town before they can start worrying about what is going on elsewhere. Frenford’s lead could be cut or extended depending on how things pan out in this latest round of Olympian fixtures.

Also on their travels will be Catholic United who travel into Hertfordshire to take on Bishop’s Stortford Swifts. Having reached the Essex Premier Cup and Anagram Records Trophy Finals, the Southend-based club now turn their attention back to league business. Despite sitting 4th Catholic United do have six games in hand which means they still have some involvement in the where the Premier Division title will end up. The hosts are winless in six and face a team in good form who go into the business end of the season still in with a shout of landing a treble.
