Brentwood Half Marathon cancelled … but let’s run it anyway

As our regular listeners and readers will know, this year’s Brentwood Half Marathon was sadly cancelled due to a second visit from the Beast From The East.

Undeterred by this news, David Liddle and Gavin Perrett from Hawkhurst Alternative Investments decided to run the route anyway!

They set off promptly at 8am and trotted the course a little slower than normal, particularly as the roads between Mountnessing and Blackmore were very icy.

Gavin commented, “Having raised over £600 for Kids Inspire I felt obliged to at least attempt the run out of respect for the people who were generous enough to sponsor me.”
