Between the Lines – 10/03/18

On this weeks show we watched on as two of the biggest rivals in English football went head to head!

PREMIER LEAGUE

Manchester United 2

M.Rashford (14, 24)

Liverpool 1

E.Bailly OG (66)

In a game between 2nd and 3rd the home took the advantage. The first goal came from David De Gea goal kick which went towards Lukaku, Lukaku then headed a ball in the path of Rashford. The youngster then went on an incredible run, skilled past Alexander Arnold then struck a sweet shot into the bottom corner. Just ten minutes later Rashford completed his second Premier League brace (his first coming on his PL debut against Arsenal).

As the game went on Liverpool gained great amounts of possession but didn’t really create any clear chances against the defensive Manchester United. This was until Senegalese winger Mane cross struck with Eric Bailly in the 66th minute. As the game came to an end Liverpool kept complying pressure to the Red Devils defence but couldn’t find a way through. The game finished 2-1 a result that put a five point gap between the two rivals in the League.

FORMULA 1

I previewed the new Formula one season in the first hour as well. Looking closely at the pre season timings it looks as if it could three horse race this year. Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull all seem within a shout this year.

The new season starts 25th of March in Australia – Melbourne.

MUSIC

We started this weeks show by playing Fall Out Boys – Hold Me Tight or Don’t.

Just some of this weeks playlist below.

  • The Chainsmokers – Sick Boy
  • Arctic Monkeys – Are U Mine
  • The Fratellis – Chelsea Daggers
  • Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks
  • Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – It’s A Beautiful World
  • KILLERS – WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG
