Morcheeba among new names added to Standon Calling

Standon Calling has announced more names taking part at this year’s event, including legendary electronic band Morcheeba.

The London band have sold over 10 million albums worldwide, and singer Skye Edwards has also performed on two massive no 1 singles including the Children In Need song Perfect Day in 1997 and Band Aid 20 in 2004.

We spoke to the band’s Ross Godfrey about this year’s event, and their plans to release a new single and album and undertake a massive world tour. You can hear the interview again below:

 
A number of new additions to the Standon Calling line-up have been announced today. Along with Morcheeba, ex-Supergrass singer Gaz Coombes and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have been added to the music stages, while Seann Walsh, Lucy Porter and Kerry Godliman headline the comedy tent.

There’s a great late-night electronica line-up announced too, including 2ManyDJs and the Hot Chip Megamix.
