Premier Division

Only one game remained after Saturday’s wash out and it had some significance on the table as May & Baker E.C. returned to the top after a 6-0 shutout against Basildon Town. James Barlow contributed a hat-trick with his accomplices being Kiel Chandler, Paul Clayton and Petrit Elbi. Meanwhile Basildon Town remain rooted to the foot of the table with a return to Division One looking likely unless they can find some winning form and quickly.

Division One

Jose Espinoza fired Buckhurst Hill into a first minute lead against Old Southendian. Further goals were added in the second half as Nathan Sollosi, Fehinti Falola and AJ Samuels all hit the target to secure a 4-0 victory that opens up a seven point lead on the table.

Division Two

May & Baker E.C. Res. edged closer to the promotion places after a 4-2 away win at leaders Herongate Athletic. Darren Seymour scored twice with Toby Maund and Carl Patten also notching. May & Baker have games in hand over the top two. Benfleet beat A1 Sports 6-1 with Ben Foord’s hat-trick being added to by goals from Brad Camm, Mason Shave and Jamie Brown. Upminster shared a point with Rayleigh Town Res. in a 2-2 draw with James Lakey and Daniel Lister scoring the Upminster goals, while Ryan Cushway and Charlie Legg notched the Rayleigh replies. The other game in Division One also ended in a draw as Leytonstone United and Roydon played out a 1-1 draw. Charlie Dow scored the Leytonstone United goal, Adam Martin supplied the Roydon reply.

Division Three

A good team performance from White Ensign Res. saw them take all the spoils in their local derby with Leigh Town. The game finished 5-1 in their favour courtesy of a Charlie Cooney brace, with Samuel Irvine, Alf Lindfield and Bill Linge also getting on the score sheet. The win moves White Ensign Res. up to second. Jimmy Markham scored the Leigh consolation. Frenford Res. pulled off a Great Escape coming back from 4-1 down to level it to 4-4. Hutton Res., who scored via a Jack Shaw hat-trick and a Rob Lorkins effort, will feel slightly aggrieved at having to share the points after being in a commanding position. . Brad Foley’s brace alongside goals from Nick Hughes and George Fairhead made sure Frenford were able to snatch a point from the jaws of defeat.
