The first Black and White Ball, organised by Shenfield retailer Liquorice, has raised an estimated £20,000 for local charity Saint Francis Hospice.
Held at Orsett Hall on Friday, the event was attended by over 200 people and featured live music from 10cc’s Mick Wilson and local singer Jordan Marsh.
The final amount raised will be confirmed soon.
