Prokit UK Essex Olympian League
Five Premier Division teams have engagements in the BBC Essex Premier Cup, Senior League Cup and Anagram Records Trophy meaning Harold Wood Athletic could end the afternoon top of the table if they beat lowly Rayleigh Town. Basildon Town sit at the foot of the table but a point separates them from Canning Town so points for either side would come in useful. Rayleigh Town were able to win their first league game two weekends ago at Springfield and will want to build on that. Bishops Stortford Swifts provide the opposition and despite sitting seventh could top the table if they come through with a win and then Harold Wood Athletic come unstuck in their game.
Springfield entertain Little Oakley Res. in the BBC Essex Premier Cup; Catholic United travel to Loughton Manor in the Anagram Records Trophy; Kelvedon Hatch visit Second Division Ramsden Scotia in the Senior League Cup with Frenford also playing Second Division opposition in the shape of Benfleet, who have no regard to reputations as they knocked out Rayleigh Town from the Premier Division in the last round and then did so again last weekend in the BBC Essex Premier Cup. Frenford will have to be on guard if they don’t want to have their scalp taken. The other tie being played is an all-Premier Division affair between Manford Way and White Ensign.
