In recent years, anyone taking their employer to an Industrial Tribunal could have ended up paying a large fee. In July this year, these fees were scrapped which could lead to many more firms being dragged into lengthy and costly litigation.
To help employers try to prevent these cases occurring In the first place, the legal firm Mullis and Peake have arranged a mock Employment Tribunal at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch on November 16th.
Real barristers, not actors, will be used during the tribunal to create as authentic a situation as possible. Mullis and Peake’s Manzural Islam visited the Phoenix FM studios to tell us more about this very useful project.
