Derby Day!

Derby Day!

This weeks Between the Lines was an exciting one!

Two Derbys were taking place.
1. The Old Firm – So of course this Derby consists of Rangers and Celtic. In this game we saw Celtic victorious away at the Ibrox Stadium, a defeat that all Rangers fans would despise. The opener was scored by Australian international Tom Rogic, the second from Leigh Griffiths a man who was scored 66 goals in 75 apps for Celtic.
2. The London Derby – This one ended up being the more interesting of the two. West Ham against Spurs at the London Stadium. Two first halve goals from Harry Kane put Spurs in a good position going into the second half. The second 45 started well for Spurs as Eriksen made it 3-0 for Tottenham away from home, soon after Serge Aurier was sent for an early shower as he received his second yellow in 6 minutes. Soon after this red card Hernandez grabbed a goal back and gave West Ham a lifeline, the Hammers gave it a good go but it wasn’t enough a late goal by Kouyate made it 3-2 to Spurs.

The show also featured a preview to a boxing match between 2012 British Gold medalist “Luke Campbell” who faces the WBA World Light Weight Champion Jorge Linares, in a battle for the belt!

“The Top Ten Football Fans Bases in the World” was this weeks Top 10, inspired by Celtic being nominated for the best fan base in “The Best Awards”. This list saw the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Boca Juniors, Napoli and Celtics supporters get a mention.
