Is that ectoplasm coming through the ceiling?

On today’s programme we heard about the householders who could have been forgiven for thinking that something out of the exorcist had invaded their house after an unidentified gooey sticky substance started oozing through the light fittings and then started pouring down through one of the ceilings?

SWNS_BEES_NEST_03

In fact the substance turned out to be nothing more dangerous than honey.

And how did it get there you may well ask.

Well it seems that the roof area of Grade II listed 18th century house in Market Harborough had become home to thousands of bees who had built a very effective hive in the loft.

Perhaps they should have collected the honey and sold it to passers by!

In the second hour we heard all about the shenanigans of the young Frances Howard who at just 13 years old had been married to the 14-year old Earl of Essex, but who it seems spread her favours elsewhere whilst her husband was away.
