The weekend action kicks off this Friday evening when Tower Hamlets host Clapton. The Tons have had a rather stunted start to their league campaign and currently sitting ninth, having won, drawn and lost from their opening three games. However they did pull off a Cup shock last weekend beating Bostik North team Norwich United. That result could kick-start their league campaign and they could have their large contingent of support behind them at Mile End Stadium. Tower Hamlets have drawn and lost their two league games and perhaps need to pick up the points as urgently as their local East London rivals.
Takeley have set the early season pace, winning all four of their opening league fixtures. They travel to Burnham Ramblers on Saturday, who last time out posted their first win of the season after beating Ilford 3-2. FC Romania currently sit in third place but have won three from three and they travel to Redbridge. The hosts are currently on a four game losing streak which has seen them lose their last two league encounters and crash out of the FA Cup and Essex Senior Cup. Great Wakering Rovers host Enfield 1893, while Basildon United travel to Hackney Wick. Wins will keep both those two at the top end of the table. Meanwhile the local derby between Waltham Forest and Wadham Lodge has added importance as both teams sit in the bottom two..
