This coming Sunday the 13th August sees a charity football match coming to the Brentwood Centre.
SULLY’S MATES will be taking on the St Francis Hospice XI and a fun day can be had for all.
Gates open at noon and the bar will be in full swing with food and drink til 6:30 and as an added bonus attendees will also be able to see the big match between Manchester United and West Ham to be shown on the big screen from 4pm
Cost of entry is a mere fiver with under 10’s get in for free.
Listen here to what my guests MIKE ALLEN from St Francis Hospice and JOE O’SULLIVAN from the Brentwood Football Club had to say today: –
You can get your tickets in advance by calling MIKE ALLEN at the St Francis Hospice on 01708 753319 Ext 2354, by e-mail to fundraising@sfh.org.uk and via the website https://www.sfh.org.uk/.
You could, of course take a chance and get them at the gate, but note that places are limited so you’d probably be best advised to buy in advance to avoid disappointment.
From an exciting event, wee turned our attention to what could be one of the dullest.
Next month sees the London premier of what could potentially be one of the most boring films ever made – and what’s more it was shot in Essex.
The title of this 8 hour – yes 8 hour epic is “BAA BAA LAND” which stars a flock of sheep.
And that’s it – no dialogue, plot line, actors, just sheep filmed grazing in a field in slow motion.
Apparently this is the latest example of a niche genre known as slow cinema.
Perhaps I’ll wait til it’s shown on TV.
See you again tomorrow,
Scott
