A couple of weeks ago, I posted an article on why Braun Strowman must defeat Roman Reigns at Smackdown Pay Per View; Great Balls of Fire. As I predicted, Braun Strowman did indeed win. In an exciting match, both Strowman and Reigns come off looking very strong indeed.
The next night on Raw, Reigns confronted Lesnar and decided he was next in line for a shot at the WWE Universal Championship. However, Samoa Joe does not agree. Joe came out to the ring and squared up to both men demanding a rematch from Lesnar, who he claimed didn’t defeat him, but escaped him.
General Manager Kurt Angle then called for a Reigns vs Samoa Joe match that very night to determine the number one contender for Lesnar’s title. In a very close match where both men gave a top performance, Braun Strowman then returned to the ring and absolutely destroyed both of them, surely putting himself on Lesnar’s radar.
With no main event called yet for SummerSlam on 20th August, I believe we are gearing up for a fatal four way match between Strowman, Reigns, Samoa Joe and Lesnar for the belt. Further than that though I have some predictions for you…
I believe that Lesnar will retain the title by pinning Roman Reigns. I think that Samoa Joe and Strowman will be occupied by each other while this is going on. I believe this will then lead to a Reigns, Lesnar feud and a Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman feud, whereby ultimately Strowman will come out on top and finally get his deserved shot at Lesnar and the Universal Championship.
