I have had a great week whilst doing work experience at Phoenix FM. I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with various presenters on their different shows at different times throughout the week. As the week progressed, my confidence has grown, greatly exceeding my initial confidence when thinking about speaking on the radio.

Throughout my experience, I have been welcomed into being part of a wide variety of radio features – from reading events guides to finding and presenting retro charts! I have also had conversations on air with the presenters – and even researched and presented my own short features!

By the end of the week, I feel as if I’ve been involved so many different things and have been educated on such a huge range of things which I never knew about the radio before.

I can’t thank the Phoenix team – specifically the presenters I worked with – enough for making my week as enjoyable and interesting as imaginable! I would highly recommend the welcoming environment that Phoenix FM kindly welcomed me into for any other students seeking work experience.
