Lakeside Speedway – LAURENCE EAGER FOR RETURN

Arena Essex

The latest from the Lakeside Speedway Press Office…

NICK Laurence admits he can’t wait to get back on a bike when Lakeside host Buxton at the Arena-Essex Raceway on Friday (8pm).

The Vortex Hammers return to action for the first time in almost three weeks as they aim to continue their push up the Travel Plus National League standings.

After five wins from their last six meetings, the Purfleet outfit are full of confidence and Laurence is hoping he can play his part in another home success.

“I’m loving life at Lakeside this year to be honest,” Laurence said.

“I’m learning all the time and I feel like I’m making some steady progress.

“It will be good to get back on the bike after a few weeks off and I’m sure we can carry on where we left off.”

With newly crowned British Under-19 Champion Zach Wajtknecht on SGB Premiership duty with Swindon, the Hammers have secured the services of experienced campaigner Adam Roynon who has been in terrific third tier form since joining Plymouth.

The Hammers will operate rider replacement for Alfie Bowtell who is required by Newcastle in the SGB Championship; Ben Morley, Nick Laurence, Connor Locke and Jamie Couzins can take his rides.
