Having acquired a pile of old 78 rpm shellac pre 1960’s records some time ago I thought it was time to give some of them an airing on Phoenix FM.
Some of these recordings are more than 85 years old so I make no apology for the crackles!
I could probably have filtered out most of the crackles with todays technology but I felt that somehow the crackles add something so you’ll hear them exactly as reproduced by my 1970’s Garrard turntable.
If you missed it you can listen to the show again here –
