Top 3 WWE Finishing Moves

Hello WWE fans! So, what are your 3 favourite finishing moves then? IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR 3 FAVOURITE FINISHING MOVES ARE!* Here I present to you my 3 favourite wrestling finishing moves and why.

You’ll notice there are no pictures or detailed descriptions of the moves. It should go without saying – DO NOT TRY THESE AT HOME!

*Note, The Rock Bottom didn’t make the list…

3. The Pedigree.

The Pedigree is the finishing move made famous by one Hunter Hearst Helmsley, or to you and me Triple H. The Pedigree is one of those moves where, ok it’s slightly unbelievable that you could put your opponent into it, but it looks amazing and is believable that it could absolutely devastate an opponent.

This move has helped Triple H achieve his astounding 25 championships, putting away the very best The Attitude era had to offer. More recently it has even been adopted by rising star Seth Rollins. However, it something to behold being performed by The Game himself.

2. The Stone Cold Stunner

There is something magical about the Stone Cold Stunner. Arguably Steve Austin is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and certainly widely held as the top star of The Attitude era. Whether it is an exploding unexpected Stunner, a clearing of the ring with Stunner after Stunner or (my personal favourite) the Stunner on a McMahon where they don’t know it’s coming… but we all do!

Like all good finishers, the Stunner is cooperation between opponents. One person cannot pull it off, both wrestlers have to play their part. When it is done right, it look’s amazing. But even the worst ones look good; salute, Stunner, 2 beers! Now lets all reminisce about the Stunner on Donald Trump…

  1. Roman Reigns Superman Punch… Hahaha just kidding…

The Tombstone pile driver

What can I say about The Tombstone except it is the greatest finish by (in my opinion) the greatest wrestler of all time; The Undertaker. It is the only finisher on this list that has a signal too. The Undertaker has a range of finishing moves, The last Ride, Hells Gate (submission), Choke Slam, but he only signals for The Tombstone. With a rolling of his eyes and a guillotine thumb across his neck, we know it’s coming…

The Tombstone is devastating. It absolutely looks the part. It’s the sort of move where, once it’s performed that is the end of the match (unless it’s a championship or pay per view main event, in which case wrestlers are seemingly immune to it!). Over almost 30 years, the Undertaker has beaten the very best with this move and like him should go down in history as a legend.
