The Essex Senior League has partnered with Kick It Out to hold a Kick It Out of football anti- racism and discrimination day at each of the following games on Saturday 22nd April 2017:-
Basildon United v FC Romania
Southend Manor v Barking
Clapton v Burnham Ramblers
A number of local children have been invited along to have mini training sessions before the matches and enjoy the games. At half time the kids will have a mini football match in front of the crowds. The players will greet the children and they will be treated like ‘little mascots’ for the day!
A league representative will be present at each venue to oversee the smooth running of the event. The event is being held to encourage the local communities to come together against all forms of discrimination and to have ‘FUN in and with FOOTBALL’ locally.
The children will receive a small goodie bag as a thank you for taking part. It’s hoped that they all have such a good time that they will want to come and be part of the home club’s setup by either playing for them, getting involved with their local team or by supporting them in the future.
Each home club has devised special reduced entrance rates for adults attending with a participating child.
