My first new show for about four weeks due to an extended hiatus at the Walk Centre in Nakuru, Kenya!

My album of the week was one that kept me company during that trip as it came out about three weeks ago – the highly anticipated Let The Dancers Inherit The Party by British Sea Power.

I’ve been playing some of the songs endlessly over the last weeks but it was good to get to grips with more of the album tracks on tonight’s show. It’s a much more even collection than previous efforts – and while I like the highs and lows that other albums such as Valhalla Dancehall and Do You Like Rock Music? offer, this is a pure and easy listen from start to finish, and head and shoulders above most of the offerings out there right now.

Tonight’s playlist:

Regular Fries – Africa Take Me Back
British Sea Power – International Space Station
Viva Brother – Darling Buds Of May
Darling Buds – Complicated
Vince Petchey – Janey’s Got Another Gun
Fields – If You Fail We All Fail
Thousand Yard Stare – Epecuen
Harkin – Independence Day
Camera Obscura – French Navy
A House – Take It Easy On Me
British Sea Power – What You’re Doing
We Are Scientists – Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt
Sultans of Ping FC – Indeed You Are
Blondfire – Here And Now
Broken Social Scene – Halfway Home
Mantarays – Take Me Back
Unqualified Nurse Band – Death Surf A52
Taffy – RunicWade
Joy Zipper – Reaching For The Sun
British Sea Power – The Voice Of Ivy Lee
Hole – Awful
Slowdive – Sugar For The Pill
Trash – Rise Up
Peter118 – Radio
Salad – Shepherds’ Isle
Blur – There’s No Other Way
Radiohead – I Can’t
Marika Hackman – Boyfriend
Senseless Things – Lost Honey
Superglu – Simmer Down
Maximo Park – What Equals Love
Kasabian – You’re In Love With A Psycho
Los Campesinos! – 5 Flucloxacillin
