Match preview: Kingstonian v Billericay Town

2017-01-10-billericay-town-01-john-chubb

Last Saturday Billericay Town FC beat Burgess Hill 4-0 and kept up the pressure on the top teams for a playoff place.

Tomorrow the team travel to Kingstonian for an away game – a win and 3 points is required.

There are eight games left. Billericay’s form is better than those we are chasing, Leiston, Tonbridge, Wingate, Dulwich and Needham, but positive results are required for our remaining games

Work has continued during the week improving the ground facilities as well as the pitch. The new owner, Glenn Tamplin continues to do what he promised at the Fans Forum in December 2016. The next Fans Forum is due to take place on the 23rd March – everyone is welcome.

Billericay will play Tonbridge in the Ryman League Cup Final on the 12th April. Billericay’s next home match is on the 28th March v Dulwich, one of the playoff contenders.

Two new players have been added to the squad this week, Byron Lawrence, midfielder signed from Leiston and Sam Alderson on loan from Leyton Orient. Isaac Layne has been released by the club.

It would be good to see a big crowd at the away match tomorrow supporting the team, there are only eight games left and hopefully the playoff matches too.
