After a disappointing end to last season where Bearman narrowly missed out on 3rd place in the Championship in his rookie season, Lochlan has been signed by the Jamsport Team who have run the Championship winning drivers for the past few seasons.

They have been working on Lochlan’s car and have been super impressed with him after 2 test sessions with the team where he has been the fastest car on the circuit both times.

“The car has felt great with the Jamsport set-up and I’ve been really impressed by the professionalism in the team. I feel that with Jamsport I have all the support I need to mount a challenge for the 2017 Championship”, said 15 year old Bearman.

“It felt as if I’d been out of the car for such a long time but within a couple of laps I was back into the groove. This season will be different as I will have 3 team mates with whom to share data, access to a data engineer so that we can analyse any areas where I could gain more time and also a driver coach which is something I’ve never had before. From karting I know how important it is to get feedback and data from multiple drivers as it helps you reach set-up decisions faster.

Getting back into the car also revealed that Bearman has grown 5 or 6 inches in height since October last year. “Obviously I knew I had grown as I had to have a new race suit but to not fit into my cae was strange. It was quickly sorted before my first time back out on track at Rockingham.

“We are going to some great circuits this season and I just can’t wait to start.”

Bearman currently has funding for the first half of the season and anyone wishing to get involved or help can contact him through www.lochlanbearman.com.
