My album of the week goes to the new release from Cardiff’s finest Spanish peasants, Los Campesinos! (I never understood why they didn’t have the upside exclamation mark in front of their name too. If ¡Forward, Russia! can do it …)

This is the first release in four years, after the band went on a hiatus and got real jobs (I know that feeling). The band’s music has always been easy to listen to, but the new songs have managed to retain an edgy energy. The album is out now on Wichita.
