Burnley v Lincoln City

Last weekend on Between the Lines we featured the headline grabbing early fixture in the FA cup, as non-league Lincoln beat Burnley at Turf Moor.
Following their draw at Chelsea, Sean Dyche’s team were brought down to earth with a bump against the undergogs. Danny Cowley’s team more than coped with what the Premier League side had to offer and Sean Raggett’s goal capped it for the Imps.

The match kept us occupied and was a big feature as we carried on to 3pm, for Phoenix Sport.

We looked back at a busy week for English football teams in Europe, as Arsenal had lost 5-1 at Bayern Munich, with us adding to the Arsene Wenger speculation. Arsenal facing the prospect of a tough fixture on Sutton United’s 3g pitch in the 5th round of the FA Cup.
Another match we looked back at was Spurs losing 1-0 to Gent, with work to do this coming week for the london side in the return leg at Wembley.
Positive news in Europe, with Manchester United winning 3-0 to Gent.

In other news, we looked back at Super League news from the night before. Leigh 14 – 17 Leeds being the final score.
Our Rugby Union recap included Gloucester 31 – 23 Saracens in the Aviva Premiership.

We looked ahead to local fixtures in the Football League, National League and Ryman League. Highlights including Billericay Town’s away fixture at Mill Field, to Grays Athletic. Brentwood Town were travelling to Waltham Abbey.

The upcoming F1 car launches were looked at, with a busy week for the teams as we are close to a month before the start of the season.
