Jesus Jones are in Southend for the first time ever and we came down to see how they were coping with Essex!
The band enjoyed great success in the early 90s; their 1991 album Doubt entering the UK charts at no 1, and single success took them around the world for countless gigs and TV appearances including in the USA where singles Right Here Right Now and Real Real Real reached no 2 and no 4 respectively.
The band have been a bit quiet during the last few years, but have just released a fantastic new single – How’s This Even Going Down? – in advance of a new album due in November, their first since 2001’s London.
It’s always a delight to catch up with singer Mike Edwards, who still refuses to age like the rest of us! Mike spoke about how the band have rekindled their love of writing and recording and what can be expected from the new material.
