There’s a Rat in The Bathroom… A Deer on the Road

Had fun sitting in for Scott Ross today. It was Maximum Music Monday. As a tribute to Billy Paul who has died I played his big hit, Me and Mrs. Jones as well as a lesser known Prince single that was released last year, Free Urself.

A couple of silly stories too, including one for the not so faint hearted –  a man has reported being bitten on the bum by a rat while using his toilet.

His local council in Middleton, County Cork is now warning people to watch their posteriors when they use the loo to prevent it from happening again. (A good trick if you can do that!)
Councillor Noel Collins said that an elderly man had come to him to complain about the incident which happened during flooding. It’s believed the rat got in through a broken sewer pipe.

Mr Collins added: ‘I would advise home owners to keep their toilet seats down when not in use, and to watch their posteriors.’

Also, 17 year old Tom Lo from Essex has passed his driving test at the first attempt, in spite of hitting a deer during the examination.

Tom was about 10 minutes into the test when the animal ran across a road in front of his car.

“I was picking up speed because it was a 60mph zone and all of a sudden I see a deer in front of me.

“So I hit my brake but unfortunately the deer was killed,” he says.

Amazingly, Tom passed the driving test with only two minor faults.
