Lochlan Bearman Debuts in the Fiesta Junior Championship

This weekend Phoenix FM travelled to the historic Norfolk race circuit of Snetterton, to see Lochlan Bearman begin his car racing career at the age of 14.

Lochlan

Lochlan was taking part in the first round of the Fiesta Junior Championship.

Before the event, Lochlan told Steve Robertson that he would be happy with a place in the top 10 drivers for his first weekend, consisting of two races. For the first few laps of the first face, it was clear that the 14 year old could hold his own amongst more experienced drivers in the series, aged up to 17.

In race 1 Lochlan was running 5th until he was taken off the circuit by another driver. The Phoenix FM sponsored teenager was able to compose himself afterwards though, running 9th when the chequered flag was shown.

In race 2 Lochlan was pushing the top 3 in the early stages, finishing 6th after a very good showing.

The next round of the championship is at Silverstone in 3 weeks’ time.
