The Phoenix FM stage comes to the Brentwood Festival

Phoenix FM will be hosting music at the Brentwood Festival for the first time. The Brentwood-based radio station has been announced as the official sponsor of the festival’s second stage.

The festival’s Main Stage kicks off on Friday 15 July and the Phoenix FM stage will operate from midday until 10pm on each of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July.

Saturday sees The Cracked, The Reggaelators, Archive, Frog On A Rocket and Black Cherry Pop Tart all playing on the radio station’s stage.

Sunday will feature Phoenix FM host listeners’ favourites Ocean Flaws and Paolo Morena along with The Pre Fabs, The Cajonoisseurs and The Scorchers.

Phoenix FM presenter Michelle Ward will also be in front of the crowds as well as backstage, as her band Defunked has also been announced for Sunday’s schedule.

The stage will be bigger than last year’s second stage to reflect the larger crowds expected at the festival, which is now in its sixth year at the Brentwood Centre.

Station chairman Paul Golder said, “We’ve been covering the Brentwood Festival since its very early days at the White Horse, but this is the first time we’ve had our own stage. Our presenters are very excited about watching and chatting to the many acts who’ll be playing there over the weekend.

“The artists who appear on both festival stages are all well known to our listeners and we’re very proud to continue our association with the Festival Team who have done some sterling work in growing the festival to where it is today.”
